About Andy Murray

Andrew "Andy" Murray  is a Scottish professional tennis player who is the highest-ranked British player. Murray achieved a top 10 ranking by the Association of Tennis Professionals for the first time on 16 April 2007.   And in the on-going London Olympics 2012, Andy Murray strikes it through by winning Gold in men's single with straight sets defeat of Roger Federer.    In 2008, Murray finished runner-up to Roger Federer at the 2008 US Open and reached a career-high ranking of World No. 3 in May 2009. In 2005, Murray won the BBC Scotland Sports Personality of the Year Award and the sport section of the Top Scot awards.   His elder brother Jamie is Great Britain's highest ranked doubles player.
