About Aneta Corsaut

Aneta Corsaut (born November 3, 1933, Hutchinson, Kansas, USA - November 6, 1995, Studio City, California) was an American actress. She is best known for playing Helen Crump on The Andy Griffith Show (1960 – 1968). Corsaut and Steve McQueen both made their film debuts in the 1958 independent, cult horror film, The Blob. Corsaut had a supporting role as Head Nurse Bradley in the 1980s sitcom House Calls and also appeared in several episodes of Matlock with star Andy Griffith. In addition, Corsaut played the role of nurse Jesse Brewer on the ABC soap \"General Hospital\" when long time portrayer Emily McLaughlin was too ill to work. She died on November 6, 1995 from cancer, aged 62. She is buried in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery.
