Anil Mukim is a senior civil servant in the Government of India, holding the position of Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce Industry in New Delhi. He was the municipal commissioner of the city of Ahmedabad, in the state of Gujarat, India until early 2006, overseeing reforms to electronic service delivery via improvements to government information technology networks. Mukim was a 1985 batch IAS officer. His first posting was as Sub Divisional Magistrate in Bhuj, the headquarters of Kutch district, between 1986-89. He was appointed district collector of Vadodara in 1998, and targeted taxation and administrative reform and a crackdown on illegal land grabs.
