Arjun Singh, (Madhya Pradesh INC Rajya Sabha) was elected as a member of the Lok Sabha in December 1985 and was re-elected in 1991 and 1996. In April 2000 and 2006 Arjun Singh was elected as Rajya Sabha member. He held the post of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh twice and Governor of Punjab once for a short period. He has also served as the Minister of Education and Minister of Planning and Development for Madhya Pradesh government.
