Arun Bhatia (born on 3rd Aug 1942, at Pune) is the President of People\s Guardian Party. A retired IAS officer and ex-PMC Commissioner, he has earned a reputation for exposing the shortcomings of and corruption in the very system he works for. Bhatia has paid a price for his actions - regular transfers, insignificant postings, numerous charges and enquiries, bad assessment reports, ridicule by peers, subordinates and seniors, lack of support , ugly mafia threats and denials of promotion. But nothing deterred this bureaucrat and he just carried on with digging out carefully guarded skeletons within the institutions of governance.
