Celina Jaitley was born to VK Jaitley, a Colonel in the Indian Army and Meeta, an Afghani Beauty Queen who is also a psychologist specialising in children’s problems. Her schooling was done all over the country due to her father being frequently transferred. The actress holds a degree in Commerce. In 2001, she was a finalist for the Miss Universe contest. Celina has won the Miss Margo Beautiful Skin, Indiatimes Surfer's Choice, and MTV's Most Wanted awards. Celina had her mind set on becoming a pilot. But she became a model in the Bollywood industry after the Miss Universe pageant. Celina has appeared in music videos including Bombay Vikings' Zara Nazron Se Kehdo. In 2003, the actress made her Bollywood debut in the film Janasheen, starring Fardeen Khan.
