It was a month of award shows and weddings, and we were expecting fireworks from our celebrities before the rain came pouring down. While some were fresh, others were simply washed out. Who earned a gold star from us this month, and who was given a black dot? Read on to find out!
Angelina Jolie may have wowed the world with her left leg, but Shruti Haasan's is just as ogle-worthy. Her black gown with its sky-high slit is very reminiscient of the look sported by Jolie at the Oscars, but we have no complaints since Shruti manages to do a heckuva imitation!
Manjari Phadnis' high waisted short are certainly in vogue but the all-pastel outfit is a bit of a wash out. It looks like Manjari was seeking inspiration from a teenage cousin and her necklace is oddly draped across her chest
It's a winning combination here for Jiah Khan, whose sparkly skirt is to die for! We love the contrast of the blue on gold and her poker straight locks and minimal accesorizing makes her look like just the kind of chick you'd want to party away the night with
The panels on either side of Hazel Keech's dress look odd. We'd also have expected something racier from the 'Aa Ante Amalapuram' girl.
Dhanush's lovely wife and director Aishwarya may often be spotted behind the camera, but she sure as hell paints a pretty picture when in front of it too. She was the very image of elegance at the SIIMA awards in this red, gold and white outfit
Eros producer Krishika Lulla may certainly be in better shape than other women her age, but why sport a jumpsuit like that, which could be unforgiving on even some of the best bodies in Bollywood? Also, camel toe alert!
Sonakshi Sinha is a genie-gone-glam as she teams up her Afghanis with a slick jacket that has fantastic animal print cuffs. You'd want more than just three wishes from her!
The otherwise fashion-forward actress gave us quite a shock in this so-bright-it-hurts-our-eyes lehenga. The colours of Sameera Reddy's outfit clash horribly and her pastey-looking makeup adds to the horror
Asin's mastered the preppie look here, and we especially love her neckpiece. And shoes. And coat. Yeah, mostly everything.
Gauhar Khan's space-age outfit looks like it was made of a bunch of constellations all sown together. We think her time on earth is up. Scott? Beam her up.
Yesteryear actress Madhoo returns to her south Indian roots and gives us a wowzaa look in this silk sari. What can we say, except we want MOAR!
Attempting an Audrey Hepburn look is a huge risk and few get it right. Shriya Saran unfortunately only gets grace marks for trying, since her outfit doesn't exactly hit the spot. We'd blame the hair and pumps!
Isn't Rani Mukherjee Bong-ilicious in this gorgeous red and white sari? We also love her gold jewellry and her necklace alone deserves special mention
Ranveer Singh's got so much cleavage on display, it makes even us uncomfortable! Button up Ranveer, your moobs are for your and only your private viewing pleasure
It's been a while since we've seen Preity Zinta look so nice. We love her flirty dress and cute bob
We'd never have thought that we'd use the word ugh in a sentence that also contained Chitrangada Singh but that's exactly what we think of this tacky gown. Not only does the outfit not fit well across her torso, we also don't care for her earrings or her hair
Kalki Koechlin does give the impression of little-girl-playing-dress-up here, but she looks adorable all the same. We love the way her hair falls in soft waves and the colour is absolutely radiant on her
Not only is the fabric of Esha Koppikhar's jumpsuit all wrong (unless you were hitting the gym in that), the puffed sleeves do her a disservice. Worse, her accesories (that necklace, the bag) are also a horrible match.
We love, love, LOVE Prachi Desai's floral jacket - a wardrobe item that could be used to glam up an outfit or be perfect for an event that ordered smart casuals, like how she's used it here
We don't know where to start on Parvathy Omanakuttan. The dress is tacky, her jewellry looks out of place and those shoes! What are they even doing in the closet of a beauty queen in the first place?
It's no wonder that Ness Wadia's been distracted because with a body like that, we'd be too. Nargis Fakhri works this form fitting dress with oodles of oomph and we can't help but give her a few marks more, seeing that she's in our favourite colour for the season
We're all for a bit of experimentation, but with a border that outlandish and drape this sloppy, there's precious little to like about Shweta Salve's sari that looks a bit like elephant skin. The greenish cuff and bag only add to the mess
We love Amrita Puri's almost androgynous look. We particularly approve of lace ups booties and the sparkly jacket
Satin is a tricky fabric to wear and unfortunately for Shazahn Padamsee, her gown comes off looking creased and tacky on the green carpet at IIFA.
Half the battle's already won (in the genetics department) for this star kid as Jhanvi Kapoor's mother is none other than Sridevi. That said, she displays a stellar sense of style. We love her age-appropriate sparkly dress and chunky sandals
The piece of cloth that dangles from Priyanka Chopra's dress' strap to the ground seems like it was a tragic afterthought. That strip alone takes this party dress from ho-hum to horrible.
Masaba saris take a lot of confidence to wear but we haven't seen one rocked as much as Neha Dhupia's here. We love the filigree pattern on the blouse and the fun print of the sari. Two thumbs up!
Sussanne Roshan's outfit is clearly a case of getting dressed in the dark. Her sneakers clash horribly with the summery belted dress
The couple looked gorgeous and absolutely in love at their wedding reception. Full marks to Bharat Takhtani for suiting up (complete with a bow tie) and Esha Deol looks great in her pink lehenga too (Minor gripe: We'd lose the flower, but pretty nonetheless)
Another couple wearing their love on their sleeves (quite literally) were Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan. Alas, the result of a matchy-matchy experiment was less than complimentary. Also Neil, are you really planning to wear that hat? In public? It's bad enough that you're toting that man purse around.
'Shor in the City' actress Preeti Desai looked lovely in this lehenga. We think the colour's absolutely smashing!
