Cobi NGai Jones (born June 16, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan) is a former American midfielder who briefly served as interim coach for Major League Soccer team Los Angeles Galaxy until Bruce Arena was hired for the job on August 18, 2008. Jones played for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer, with whom he had been since the teams inaugural season in 1996. He was one of a significant group of American national team stars who returned from overseas to aid the new American soccer league, coming home after spending half a season at Brazilian club Vasco da Gama. He is also the all-time leader in caps for the United States National Team.
