Deepak Puri is Chairman & Managing Director of Moser Baer India Limited. As Chairman and Managing Director of Moser Baer India Ltd, he provided strategic leadership and direction to the organization. He steered the company with his vision of making Moser Baer one of the most respected technology companies globally. Mr Puri is the Chairman of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), a non-profit, autonomous organization of the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India. He is actively involved with ELCINA and has also received an award from the industry body-`The Electronics Man of the Year 2002` recognition. He has also been crowned the IT Man of the Year by leading IT publication Dataquest. Under his stewardship, Moser Baer has won the Dataquest Top 20`s `Fastest Growth Company` Award for two years in a row. Mr Puri holds a master`s degree in mechanical engineering from Imperial College, London, and is an alumnus of St. Stephen`s College and Modern School, New Delhi.
