Deepak Thakur Sonkhla (born December 28, 1980 in Bhamowal, Hoshiarpur) is a field hockey forward from India, who made his international debut for the Men\s National Team in June 1999 in a test serie against Germany. Nicknamed Happy, Thakur represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 2000 in Sydney, Australia, where India finished in seventh place.
