About Deepika Padukone

Deepika made her cinematic debut in a Kannada film, Aishwarya in 2006. The actress literally exploded into Bollywood with Om Shanti Om (2007) opposite King Khan. For the same film, Deepika Padukone was honoured with the Filmfare award for Sony Fresh Face of the year.   She also won the Filmfare award for the best female debutante for the year 2007.Her 2008 release was Yash Raj's Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Ranbir Kapoor, which had a fairly decent run at the box office.   It also remains her biggest commercial success so far. She subsequently appeared in films such as Love Aaj Kal (2009) and Housefull (2010).
