Digambar Kamat is a politician from Goa, and since June 2007 he is the Chief Minister of Goa. Digambar is a long-term senior politician in the state, having headed up several ministries and has performed exceptionally well. He left the Indian National Congress in 1994 and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party when he was not given the INC ticket.
