Lalbaughcha Raja Shri Ganesh

It is undoubtedly the city's most popular and biggest sites and the idol sees over a crore of devotees throng there across the ten days of darshan. Visitors wait for over 15 hours in serpentine queues for less than a minute's prayers. It is said that Lalbaughcha Raja makes all your wishes come true, and therefore is nicknamed called 'Navsala Pavnara' Ganpati. Many celebrities, cricketers and politicians visit the 20-feet tall god, to seek his blessings.

Kasba Ganpati

Kasba Ganpati has historic significance, as it was established by Shivaji's mother Jijabai. It is considered to be the first 'Manacha Ganpati' (Ganpati of Honour) as the idol is always immersed first during the Ganpati immersion day. The Kasbapeth Ganpati is also considered to be the 'Gram Daivat' (village deity) of Pune.

GSB Ganpati Seva Mandal

The idol is the city's richest owing to the fact that the trust is owned by the Gowd Saraswat Brahmin community, and the idol is adorned with several crore worth of jewellry. As a ritual, life sized scales are used as people choose to give away offerings equal to their body weight to the idol

Khetwadicha Raja

Khetwadicha Raja is a prominent Ganesh idol in the South Mumbai. The idol sees devotees from all faiths paying homage, attending the aartis and partaking of the mahaprasad lunch. A sizeable team of volunteers also help manage the long queues to prevent stampeding.

Tambdi Jogeshwari Ganesh Mandal

The Ganesh idol derives its name due to its proximity to the famous Jogeshwari temple. The trust has a dedicated lezim troupe that performs during the immersion day and the idol is always kept upon a silver palanquin. It is also one of the 'Manacha Ganpati' (Ganpati of Honour) and was one of Lokmanya Tilak's favourite sites from where he delivered fiery speeches against the British during the freedom struggle.

Ganesh Galli Ganpati

This mandal is a stone's throw away from the famous Lalbaughcha Raja pandal, but is no less famous. Every year, the mandal comes up with social themes based upon current affairs and last year the pandal was decorated to resemble the Mysore Chamundeshwari Temple. It is also one of oldest sites in the area and the city.

Tulshibaug Ganpati

Tulsibaug Sarvajanik Ganesh Ustav Mandal is one of the most visited mandals in Pune. It is the first Ganesh idol to be made out of fiber glass. Tulshibaug idol stands 15-feet tall and is a dazzling sight as it adorned with heavy ornaments and jewels. The neighbourhood, an already busy marketplace, sees even more crowds congregate there during the ten day darshan.

Andhericha Raja

The famous idol is managed by the Azad Nagar Sarvajanik Utsav Samitee and the themes are usually subtle unlike the larger-than-life themes at other pandals. It is however popular for devotees who claim that their wishes have been fulfilled following darshans and is a favourite among television celebrities and Bollywood actors

Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandal

Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati is one of the most recognized Ganesh idols among devotees. The idol derives its name from founder Dagdu Sheth Halwai who was the richest sweet-maker of the village. It is the last 'Manacha Ganpati' (Ganpati of Honour) as it is always immersed after ten days of darshan. Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati also receives several offerings from devotees abroad

Natubag Mandal

The Natubag Ganpati mandal is popular for its jazzy lighting and decorations. Every year the idol sits with pride in the 556 square feet mandal, which is decorated with innovative lighting arrangements. The mandal attracts many young devotees and several dance competitions and cultural activities are held at the site.
