At party, Shah Rukh Khan roughs up Shirish Kunder

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan allegedly punched and slapped director and choreographer Farah Khan's filmmaker husband Shirish Kunder at a private party thrown by Sanjay Dutt.

The fracas took place late on Sunday night at the “Agneepath” success party at a nightclub where Shah Rukh is said to have roughed up Kunder, who has been taking potshots at the actor and his mega budget film “Ra.One” on Twitter.

Kunder reportedly left the party with a swollen face. The party came to an end and Sanjay Dutt and Shah Rukh left with the owner of the nightclub soon after.

“Another long nite. Shooting for a public service msg film about education peace & harmony. Feels ironic when I read & see wot is being said,” Shah Rukh tweeted on Monday night without making any mention of the fracas.

Farah and Kunder spoke about the incident in a statement but denied they were going to pursue the matter with police.

“Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. So it saddens me to see him doing the same,” Farah said in a statement.
