Hrishitaa Bhatt was born in Mumbai. As a child she used to take dancing lessons and she was also a keen athlete. Initially she hoped to become a pilot but once she was selected for the Liril advertising campaign she opted for a career in modelling. She was noticed in the Aryans' video and this lead to her being selected for a lead role in Shararat (2002), In this film she starred opposite Abhishek Bachchan. After she signed Shararat she was offered Asoka (2001) but Asoka was completed and released first. She has also acted in a Bengali and a Tamil film. She speaks Hindi, English, and Bengali fluently. Apparently for a while she was in a relationship with Abhishek Bachchan. Today Hrishitaa Bhatt is single.
