Nephew of actor Aamir Khan and producer-director Mansoor Khan, Imran Khan made his debut with the romantic comedy Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008), which emerged as a box-office success and fetched him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He later appeared in several commercially successful films such as I Hate Luv Storys (2010), Delhi Belly (2011), Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011) and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012). Khan was born to Anil Pal, a Hindu Bengali and Nuzhat Khan, a Muslim in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. His father works as a consultant at LinkedIn in Silicon Valley. Khan made appearances as a child artist in his uncle Aamir's films, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992). Both times he played the role of a young Aamir Khan. He aspired to be a director, as that was his original plan before he entered Bollywood as an actor.
