Jaidev Thackeray is the second son of late Shiv Sena supremo, Bal Thackeray, and the elder brother of Uddhav Thackeray. Unlike most of his family members, Jaidev has chosen to stay away from the affairs of the Shiv Sena. Jaidev was married thrice - first to Jayashree Kalelkar, with whom he had a son, Jaydeep. His second marriage, with Smita Thackeray, got over in October 2004, in spite of which Smita continued living at the Thackerays' home, 'Matoshree'. Jaidev and Smita have two sons, Rahul and Aishwary. He is currently married to Anuradha, with whom he has a daughter - Madhuri.
