Bio

Jitin Prasad is an Indian politician who stood for the 2004 Lok Sabha elections on the INC ticket and is currently a Member of Parliament from Shahjahanpur. He holds an MBA degree and was educated at Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and IMI, Delhi. Prasada worked at DSP Merrill Lynch and then on to BPL Net. A member of the Congress, Prasada is from Uttar Pradesh. He was elected to 14th Lok Sabha in 2004 and was a member on the Committee on Petitions, Committee on Information Technology and Communications, Consultative Committee and Ministry of Civil Aviation. He is currently the Minister of State in Ministry of Steel and was elected on April 6, 2008.
