Joker is a Hindi fantasy adventure film, the second directorial venture of Shirish Kunder after Jaan-E-Mann. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. Akshay and Sonakshi have previously worked together in Rowdy Rathore, which released earlier this year. The plot revolves around a Non Resident Indian (Kumar) who returns home to discover that his village has dropped off the map of India. To put it back on the world’s radar he must now forge an unlikely alliance of villagers & aliens that will bring him and his village to limelight on a global scale. Joker is reportedly Akshay Kumar's 100th film. Chitrangada Singh has performed an item number in the movie.
