About K Chandrasekhar Rao

Kalvakuntla Chandrasekar Rao, abbreviated KCR, is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India. He is a Member of Parliament from the Mahaboobnagar constituency of Andhra Pradesh and is the president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He was the cabinet minister for Labour and Employment.   Rao was born in Chintamadaka village (Siddipet Mandal) in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. He attained a Masters in Telugu Literature.    He lost once in 1983 assembly elections.He was elected as a MLA in 1985 from Telugu Desam Party. He served as the cabinet minister. He was a member of the Telugu Desam Party and served as Deputy Speaker until he resigned from the party as TDP did not respect the sentiments of the telangana people. He claimed that the politicians of this region are being suppressed. He is of opinion that bifurcation is the only solution for telangana people.
