Kay Kay spent his early years in Ambernath and Pune and earned himself an MBA degree from PUMBA. He began his career in theatre productions and then gradually drifted towards television acting before hitting the big screen.He made his film debut with Naseem(1995) but it was with his performance in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2003)that he became a household name. In 2004 he starred in Deewaar with Amitabh Bachchan. The film flopped but Kay Kay's performance was appreciated. In 2005 he worked as Bachchan's son in Sarkar. The film was a box office hit and his role as a hot-tempered son was praised.His performance as the anguished DCP Rakesh Maria in the movie Black Friday (2004) has been widely appreciated and acclaimed.His nest film, Life In A Metro with Shilpa Shetty was a box office hit. He is now married to his long time sweetheart, TV Actress Nivedita Bhattacharya.
