Lalkrishan Kishenchand is the leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and BJP痴 prime ministerial candidate for 2009 General Elections. He was born in Karachi (before Partition) joined the RSS in 1942. One of the most controversial, yet the most enduring figures in Indian polity, Advani has been in the limelight for his public advocacy of Hindutva, his alleged active role in the demolition of Babri Masjid and then his much-criticised appreciation of Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Pakistan.
