Laura Whitmore (born 4 May 1985) is an Irish television presenter for MTV Europe. In April 2008, MTV Networks Europe launched a campaign Pick Me MTV where Laura Whitmore battled it out against other contestants to become the face of MTV News in MTV Europe. Currently, she hosts news bulletins for MTV in Ireland, the UK and pan-European MTV channels. She previously co-hosted MTV News The Cube in 2009/2010 with former MTV presenter Rickie Haywood Williams. She previously hosted MTV Digs on MTV UK and is regularly seen on MTV News hosting special events in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe. Before winning MTV's Pick Me MTV and moving to London, she worked as a researcher on award winning Lunchtime with Eamon Keane for Irish radio station Newstalk. In 2010, Whitmore hosted the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts for ITV2. She is a spokeswoman for the Because I Am a Girl charity
