M. K. Muthu is an Indian actor, singer and politician. Muthu is the oldest son of Tamil Nadu\s Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.[1] Karunanidhi first tried to groom his son to follow in his footsteps; however, Muthu ended up defecting to the opposition All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party.[2] Muthu first started acting in 1970, and appeared in films such as Pillayo Pillai, Samayalkaran, Anayavilaku, and Pookari. He had also sang a few numbers in his films. He is currently doing a project with director Deva.[3]
