Mahima Chaudhry received her schooling at Loretto, Darjeeling. She has a brother and a sister. Mahima is married to Bobby Mukherjee, a Mumbai architect, in a secret wedding ceremony. On June 10, 2007, Mahima gave birth to a baby girl who is named Aryana. Her husband already has two kids from a previous marriage. Mahima was a model before she became a Bollywood actress. She appeared in a Pepsi commercial along with Aishwarya Rai. She also hosted Public Demand, a TV show. Mahima Chaudhry’s breakthrough performance was as Ganga, in Pardes (1997), for which she won rave reviews. Mahima was chosen from about 3,000 applicants who auditioned for the role. Her career was launched by Subhash Ghai. Mahima Chaudhry had no qualms about playing the role of a supporting actress in films such as Dhadkan (2000), Dil Kya Kare (1999) and others.
