Mugdha Godse hails from Pune. She is a commerce graduate from Symbiosis College (Pune University). People close to her call her Mugs. Like Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai she used the route of beauty contests to enter the industry.She was declared the winner at Gladrags Mega Model Contest and the Miss Body Beautiful contest in 2002. Mugdha went on to win the Miss Perfect 10 at the Ponds Femina Miss India Contest, 2004.In the Airtel commercial Mugdha shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan. She also modelled for Thums-Up. For the last six years Mugdha has been modeling, shooting for ads (both stills and movies) and music videos. She had earlier taken classes from Anupam Kher's acting academy. Mugdha has also signed a film titled Fashion being directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Her co-stars in this film are Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, and Arbaaz Khan.
