Shahid Kapoor may be enjoying Priyanka Chopra’s close company during the promotions of their next, Teri Meri Kahaani, but the actor says he can’t find a girl for himself. “Shaadi ke liye ladki zaroori hai..mujhe mil hi nahi rahi. (It’s necessary to find a girl to get married. I’m not getting one). I hope I fall in love as that’s the best thing that can happen. Having said that, I am in a very happy stage of my life,” said the 31-year-old, who was in Delhi recently.
The actor, who wasn’t spotted too often with rumoured love-interest Priyanka after he was reportedly seen leaving her house during an income tax raid, has been recently photographed resting his head on her shoulder and close-dancing during promotions.
He however continues to play the ‘close friend’ card. “We both are very friendly and cordial. Working with her is great.” Meanwhile, Delhi will always be “special” to him. “I miss Delhi. I spent my childhood here, had a big family here, but I don’t come often now.”
Shahid-Farhan to pair up for Zoya Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar (right) was so impressed by the chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and her brother, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, at the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) awards the two hosted in Singapore earlier this month, that she may cast them in a movie.
A source says, “At the after-party, Zoya said that she might cast them in a film, because if they could do such a great job on stage, their onscreen jodi would be fabulous."
