All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the brother of MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, spoke to CNN IBN and said the media trial of Akbaruddin Owaisi should stop.

He also refused to express regret for his brother's hate speech. "We are never against any religion. The alleged hate speech is subjudice and we are not going to run away from law, we will face it," Owaisi said.

He also claimed that the Andhra Pradesh government was targeting Akbaruddin Owaisi as the MIM withdrew its support to it.

Meanwhile, another probe has been ordered against Akbaruddin Owaisi over an alleged hate speech. A magistrate's court here today directed Kazipet police to investigate and register an FIR against Owaisi, following a complaint by advocate Kotha Ravi of Bapujinagar, Kazipet.

Ravi has alleged that he saw a video of a provocative speech by Owaisi on the Internet, which targeted a community.

Owaisi was arrested on Tuesday evening in connection with his hate speech in Adilabad.
