The wife and mother of Hemraj Singh, a soldier who was beheaded by Pakistani soldiers along the LoC in Kashmir recently, called off a fast to seek the retrieval of his head on Saturday.
They were also upset that neither the CM nor top officials had visited the village to express their condolences.
Hemraj's mother, Meena Devi, and his wife, Dharamwati Devi, had taken up the protest along with nearly 100 residents of Khairar Sher village. They called it off after the UP government promised that their demands would be fulfilled.Ph
