Thane, Jun 17 (PTI) The powerloom owners in the state have demanded a separate `Powerloom Board\' to regulate the sector. A resolution to this effect was adopted at the recent day-long meeting of industry representatives at Bhiwandi in the district. The resolution said that the sector should be delinked from the Textile Ministry. The gathering also sought substantial subsidy from the state and central governments, and concessions in power tariff. Another resolution said the office of Regional Textile Commissioner be relocated to Bhiwandi.
