New Delhi: The Supreme Court will on Friday hear a PIL for women's safety filed by a former IAS officer. The PIL asks the government to ensure safety for women across the country and set up fast-track court proceedings of all rape cases. The PIL also asks for MLAs or MPs chargesheeted with crimes against women to be suspended. According to a report, two MPs and 42 MLAs are accused of crimes against women including rape.
