Grapevine is abuzz that Ghajini actor has been roped in opposite Akshay Kumar in Khiladi 786. The actress will replace Nargis Fakhri who was dropped from the film as she didn't look the part of Mithun's sister, reports Mid Day.

Asin’s father who handles her work tells the tabloid: "It would be better if you ask the production house to confirm”.

Asin and producers were not available for comment.

Khiladi 786 is directed by Ashish R Mohan. It will be produced by Eros International and Hari Om Entertainment. The film marks the return of Akshay Kumar to his famous Khiladi film series after 12 years since he acted in 'Khiladi 420'.

The film is scheduled to release on 7 December, 2012.
