This one’s a romantic-comedy set in the rustic surroundings of a village in Haryana. Will this Imran Khan–Anushka Sharma starrer be the first ‘hit’ of 2013? Our in-house expert and ace astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi predicts the fate of this Vishal Bhardwaj venture:
“The title 'Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola' is adding up to Number 65 – this octave of Number 2 is a very unlucky number. It denotes uncertainties and treachery of others. It foreshadows trials and tribulation, unexpected dangers, unreliable friends and deception caused by members of the opposite sex. It gives grave warning if it comes out in anything concerning future events,” explains Bhavikk.
“Going by its numerological interpretation and the meaning derived from it, it seems the film will have restricted appeal and will be liked only by certain section of the audience,” predicts Bhavikk.
“But having said that, the film will boast of some superlative performances,” he adds.
“Numbers 1, 2, 4 and 7 are considered to be a ‘family’ of numbers and the core team in this enterprise is headed by them and that will act as a bonus,” he explains.
“The film’s release date is set on January 11, 2013, which is a day primarily ruled by Number 2 (Moon) that has a direct connection with Number 7 (Ketu) as they both go hand in hand."
“Imran Khan (January 13, 1983) is a Number 4 (Rahu) person in numerology and will be entering his 31st year just two days after the film releases. This could be his best birthday gift ever as his ‘haryanvi’ act will be appreciated," claims Bhavikk.
“Anushka Sharma (May 1, 1988) is a Number 1 (Sun) person running in her 25th year and even her role as the ‘bindaas’ babe will be applauded by the critics and her fans alike."
“Talking about Pankaj Kapur (]May 29, 1954) who is a Number 2 (Moon) person, the lesser said the better, as this powerhouse of talent will once again show his acting prowess to the world in his 59th year (he is a Gemini – ruler Mercury – Number 5).
Last but not the least, the writer-director-music composer and co-producer of this film Vishal Bhardwaj (August 4, 1965) is a Number 4 person and being in his 48th year may not earn him rich dividends at the box office in terms of collections, but it will bring praises galore,” says Bhavikk.
If Spike Jonze's 'Her' imagined a delicate, heartfelt romance between man and his artificially intelligent operating system, then 'Transcendence', directed by Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister, takes a less optimistic view of the future, cautioning us about the dangers of relying too heavily on technology. They're two sides of the same coin, but where 'Her' felt fresh, original, and forward-looking, Pfister's film trades in familiar clichés.
