How did this week's releases (Inkaar, Mumbai Mirror) perform at the box office? We take a look...

BO performance of Inkaar

Inkaar

Verdict: Below average

All India collections: Rs 5.5 crore approx(opening weekend)

The audiences have flatly refused to accept 'Inkaar' making it a below average performer this weekend. It's weekend collections are almost as good as what 'Table No 21' had netted - and that movie was promoted twice as less and had lesser known stars. Reviewers have praised Arjun Rampal for his strong performance, but Chitrangada's screechy act and a shaky second half have seen it amass only so much during its opening weekend. It is unlikely to pick up before the next Friday and will all but make a clean exit when 'Race 2' and 'Akaash Vani' hit the screens

Verdict: Flop

All India collections: Less than Rs 1 crore (opening weekend)

It's hardly surprising that Sachiin Joshi's 'Mumbai Mirror' crashed and burned at the box office. It received slamming reviews from critics (ours called it a 'cop out') and looked like a cheap imitation of cop movies like 'Dabangg'.

BO performance of last week's release
Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola

'Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola' only managed to net a little more in its second weekend at the box office (Rs 4.75 crore), bringing its total up to Rs 35 crore.
