All India collections: Rs 36.5 crores on opening weekend
With a sexy star cast that comprised of Bipasha Basu, Esha Gupta and Emraan Hashmi and a gripping plot, 'Raaz 3' managed to strike big on its opening weekend. It netted an ever bigger collection than even 'Jannat 2' did earlier this year. Overseas too, this has been Emraan's best show at the UK box office to date. Even though critics were divided in their opinion about the movie, the movie was not universally panned, like last week's release 'Joker'.
Projection for next week: Even though it's expected to draw it at least 60-70 crores, 'Raaz 3' might not be able to survive another week. The coming Friday will see the release of Ranbir Kapoor's highly-anticipated film 'Barfi!' and the next weekend will see Kareena woo viewers with 'Heroine'. Still, 'Raaz 3' may still run in single screen theatres.
