A film still from the Abhishek starrer, 'Players'.
Post the release of 'Bol Bachchan', Ekta Kapoor keen to give Abhishek Bachchan the image that became synonymous with his father.
Abhishek Bachchan may not exactly be known for his out-and-out action image, but apparently Ekta Kapoor is planning to add a whole new dimension to the actor. Jr B may soon become the new ‘angry young man’.
Ekta is said to be working on making a hardcore raw action film around the actor, and Rajat Arora is believed to have written the script. Our source informs, “Ekta wants Abhishek to be the angry young man. Amitabh Bachchan ruled the industry for decades as the angry young man and Ekta wants Abhishek to carry forward the legacy.
She wants Rajat to do the job that Salim-Javed did for Amitabh Bachchan. In fact, post his recent release, Ekta feels that now is the time for Abhishek to aim higher. They chatted for over an hour.” Ekta will soon lock on the director for the project. The film is said to go on floors before the end of the year. Ekta Kapoor remained unavailable for comment.
