Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj was injured on Tuesday, January 8, when he fell down a flight of stairs at a mall in Gurgaon while promoting his forthcoming film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Bhardwaj, who was at Ambience Mall, was climbing the stairs in an ice skating parlour, when he slipped and fell on someone’s ice skating shoes.
“He (Bhardwaj) was invited on stage. While climbing the stairs, he slipped and fell on someone’s ice-skating shoes. He was taken to Max Hospital and got five stitches on the nose,” said Shailesh Giri, the film’s publicist, who was present there.
Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola features Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma and Pankaj Kapur in lead roles.
