Looks like Ranbir Kapoor has a new admirer. His most recent co-star Sumona Chakravarti is in awe of the star. During the shoot schedule of their upcoming rom-com, Sumona, a TV actress, came away rather impressed by RK’s “rather laidback down-to-earth demeanor”.
Describing the three-day shoot for Anurag Basu’s forthcoming film as an acting workshop, the actress says she also found her other co-star Ileana D’Cruz a “sweet person”. The 24-year-old further reveals that she used to gang up with Ileana to poke fun at Ranbir.
She recalls, “While we were shooting in Darjeeling, people in the neighbourhood were going gaga over Ranbir. Some women were even climbing on the rooftop and screaming his name at the top of their voice! It was funny how Ranbir seemed worried that they might fall off.”
Sumona is presently seen in the Ram Kapoor-Sakshi Tanwar show and is happy to venture on the big screen for a change. Incidentally, this is not the first time. “I’ve worked as a child artiste in the Aamir Khan-starrer Mann during my school days but I don’t think that counts,” she laughs.
