Fans drooled at the sight of Shah Rukh Khan wooing Juhi Chawla in the beautiful streets of Switzerland in the song ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaoon’ from 'Yes Boss'. Sung by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Alka Yagnik, the Jatin-Lalit composition is competing to be the top song of the century courtesy a Fever
104 initiative and a part of Cinema@100 led by Hindustan Times to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema.
The 5-minute, eleven second number that also won Bhattacharya the best singer award was written by Javed Akhtar.
“We composed the tune first and Javed Akhtar wrote the words later. The brief from Aziz Mirza (the director) was ki ladki upset ho gayi hai and ladka use khush karne ki koshish kar raha hai. It is one of the most romantic songs which shows what all a guy can do for a girl,” says Lalit Pandit. He recalls that the song took more time to compose than the average songs did those days. “We took 15-20 days to finish the song and record it, which was a lot more than what it took then. This song is a gem in SRK’s career,” he adds.

The tune was composed in a way that it left the scope for a lot of words. This was because the director wanted beautiful words in the song Aziz Mirza decided to make Yes Boss after Billy Wilder's 'The Apartment' and was very impressed by the character Jack Lemon played in the film.
