Sonakshi Sinha elaborates on her ‘biggest’ USP
You don’t fit into the mould of the standard Bollywood heroine with your looks. What do you think makes you successful?
It (a film) is a collective effort. I’ve been fortunate to get good films and both my movies so far have had all the essential ingredients — action, comedy, drama and romance.
Do you agree that’s you’ve brought voluptuous back to Bollywood and made curvy sexy again?
I’ve never believed in being stick-thin. I’ve worked hard on my body and I believe I have a pretty face. And I think I’m presentable enough as well. Also, voluptuous is sexy, so why not?
While your contemporaries, such as Anushka Sharma, are experimenting with urban roles, you stick to playing the coy, Indian girl. Why?
Desi roles are working fine for me. I’m open to playing an urban woman, but the script needs to be good. I need to make sensible choices, and if a certain thing is doing well for me now, then that’s okay.
