Actress Kristen Stewart has apparently just been ditched from the "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel.

Reportedly Universal is set to cut Snow White out of the script and focus purely on the Huntsman.

Whether or not Rupert Sanders will direct the film is unclear, but he's certainly on the short list and it's likely that he would get picked.

"The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise," mirror.co.uk quoted a Universal spokeswoman as saying.

Stewart, 22, is planning to bury herself in work to get over her split from Pattionson, who she dated for three years, but it's rumoured that she decided to drop out of another film "Cali" last week.

While she struggles to get back on track, Pattinson, 26, is going from strength to strength as he promotes new film "Cosmopolis".

Pattinson split from Stewart last month after it was revealed that she cheated on him with her "Snow White..." director Sanders.
