Ajith Kumar may not have the same status as Rajinikanth but his film ‘Billa 2’ is all set to give Rajini’s ‘Endhiran’ a competition when it comes to grabbing the most number of screens in the foreign markets. So far the distributors of ‘Billa 2’ have ensured the release of the film in more than 60 theaters in USA. This is next to only one Tamil film and that is ‘Enthiran’ which was released in 85 screens.

‘Enthiran’ was also released in Hindi with the name ‘Robot’, and it was accepted well too. In last some years, Bollywood has shown a good inclination towards the remakes of Southern blockbusters. From ‘Wanted’ to ‘Rowdy Rathore’, the audiences have given thumbs up to these remakes. The Hindi dubbing of the hit films of South Indian languages get good viewership on TV too. More or less, the filmmakers have become successful in developing a taste for these films among the Bollywood fans.

Films are still seen as a mode of entertainment only in India and ‘Billa 2’ is expected to be high on this. Plus, it’s a prequel to 2007 film ‘Billa’, a genre that is not very well known to the Hindi film viewers. This style is adopted from the western films and the art of telling a story backward will educate the audiences of the Hindi belt.Vidyut Jamwal was appreciated in ‘Force’ and he is going to make his presence felt in ‘Billa 2’ now, so his fans have another reason to watch the film.

It wouldn’t be a bad idea if one watches ‘Billa 2’ just for Ajith Kumar. At least, the Bollywood fans will get a chance to understand the reason behind his huge popularity.
