The director of the Swedish production of 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo', 'Niels Arden Oplev', is teaming up again with his star Noomi Rapace ('Prometheus') for the film 'Dead Man Down', costarring Colin Farrell. The thriller set in New York City follows a mobster's hitman who is seduced by a victim seeking retribution, and the two team up and plot revenge on his boss, the crime lord. The film also stars Terrence Howard (Iron Man) and Dominic Cooper ('My Week With Marilyn'), Isabelle Huppert and Armand Assante, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Farrell will star in the sci-fi action film Total Recall opening in August and the comedy Seven Psychopaths with Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken releasing in November. He also will provide his voice in Epic, an animated film featuring the voice talent of Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson and Beyonce Knowles.
Rapace is currently starring in Ridley Scott's Prometheus. She costars with Rachel McAdams in Brian De Palma's Passion due out in February 2013.
Dead Man Down is scheduled for release April 5, 2013.
