Samsung Electronics Thursday announced the launch of its Galaxy Note II in the Indian market.
Priced at Rs.39,990, the Galaxy Note II will be available in the Samsung stores in a week's time.
Announcing the launch of the Galaxy Note II in India, B.D. Park, president and CEO (South West Asia), Samsung Electronics, told reporters here that the device had taken innovation to a new level in the Galaxy note category.
Powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, the device features a 1.6GHz Quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen.
The new device has got 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front facing camera with HD (high definition) video recording.
It has 16GB internal storage with support for 64 GB expendable memory and a 3,100 mAh battery. Additional features include Air View, Quick Command and single hand operations.
"The Galaxy Note II offers creative possibilities and opens up productivity to everybody. It's easy and fun to use and allows users to express themselves with almost no boundaries," said Park.
According to him, the device helps users unleash their inner creativity by letting them discover information faster, capture ideas, and express them in a more organized and efficient manner.

Describing India as a leading market, he said the Samsung had 49 percent share in smart phones market. The Galaxy Note devices will be 10 to 15 percent of overall smart devices in India.
Warsi said Mobile had been launching 35 to 40 new models of mobile devices across the segments.
Film director Imtiaz Ali shared his experiences of using the Galaxy Note II.
Warsi also unveiled Samsung Galaxy smart camera on the occasion. The camera will be launched in the Indian market within a month.
