A well-set Tendulkar couldn't get to his 100th international ton. Here's a run-down of his 35-plus scores in Tests and ODIs since his 99th century...
There was disappointment once again after Sachin Tendulkar failed to get the elusive century for his 100th international ton yesterday against Sri Lanka in the CB Series at Perth.
The Little Master looked in splendid touch and it appeared that he would finally reach the three-figure mark. But, while trying to cut an Angelo Mathews delivery, Tendulkar dragged the ball on to the stumps, thus falling two short of his half-century.
Tendulkar, who hit five fours in his knock, also stitched a 75-run second-wicket partnership with Virat Kohli.
However, Tendulkar's magical ton might come anytime soon from the way he has played since his 99th ton 11 months ago.
