About Ollie Cahill


Ollie Cahill (born September 29, 1975 in Clonmel) is an Irish professional football forward who currently plays for Shamrock Rovers F.C. in Ireland. Cahill, primarily a left winger, was born in Tipperary and spent many seasons at Cork City. He started his career with Clonmel Town FC, one of Ireland\s top junior football clubs. He won an FAI Junior Cup winners medal with them in 1994. Ollie played for Shelbourne from summer 2002 until he was signed by Drogheda United on December 23, 2006. While he was with the team, Shelbourne won the League of Ireland championship in 2003, 2004 and 2006. Cahill was also on the books at English lower league club Northampton Town from 1994 to 1996 but only made 11 appearances scoring once before signing for Cork City F.C.[1].
