Chidambaram Palaniappan is an Indian politician with the Indian National Congress and the current Union Minister of Finance of the Republic of India. Chidambaram is a well known corporate lawyer having represented well known clients like the now bankrupt Enron and an important member of the last two Congress led Government's at the centre. Previously he had served as Finance Minister of India from May 2004 to November 2008.
