Peter Matthew Siddle (born 25 November 1984 in Traralgon, Victoria) is an Australian Test cricketer. He is a specialist right-arm fast-medium bowler. Early in his career, Siddle took 11 for 47 in a state under-17 match. Siddle is also a former member of Latrobe Cricket Club in Morwell, Gippsland. Since 2006, despite several shoulder injuries, Siddle has become one of the preferred pace bowlers in the of the Victorian Bushrangers side. After just 12 first-class matches and touring India with Australia A, Siddle was named in the national 15-man squad for the four-Test tour of India on September 12, as back up to established bowlers Brett Lee, Stuart Clark and Mitchell Johnson.
