Cameron Russell (born June 14, 1987 is an American fashion model.
She is an up-and-coming model who has appeared on runways around the world
She has popped up within the pages of such fashion magazines as Vogue and W.
She was born in Boston, and raised in Cambridge.
Russell displayed an interest in politics at an early age
Her friends who had worked on the Clinton Presidential election campaign arranged a meeting on June 5, 1998 (when she was 10) with Bill Clinton after he delivered a speech at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
His advice to her was to stay in school, get to know as many different types of people as she could, and to understand their dreams and aspirations.
Russell's mother had a friend who worked at Ford Models agency, and Russell decided to sign with that agency in 2004.
Since beginning her modeling career part-time at the age of 16
She graduated from the Commonwealth School in 2005.
She later moved on to DNA Model Management in 2006, and is currently represented by Women Management with whom she signed in 2008.
Russell has worked with numerous successful photographers including Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, and Nick Knight among others, in such magazines as Vogue, Paris Vogue, Vogue Italia, W, Self Service and Numro
Though she’s only been in the business for a short while, Cameron Russell has quickly established herself as one of the hottest new models to hit the scene in quite some time.

Cameron was discovered in 2003 by an agent while vacationing with her family in Maine.
It wasn’t long before the aspiring superstar was booking gigs for such esteemed names as Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein.
In 2007, Cameron signed with the prestigious dna models agency, home to such familiar faces as Adriana Lima, Raquel Zimmerman and Amber Valletta.
She has featured in advertising campaigns for companies including Calvin Klein, Armani, Oscar de la Renta, and Yves Saint Laurent
But unlike the majority of her modeling contemporaries, Cameron remains devoted to her education and is currently enrolled at Massachusetts’ Wellesley College
Russell has featured in runway fashion shows for designers including Shiatzy Chen, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Versace, Vivienne Westwood, Ralph Lauren, and Diane von Frstenberg
Cameron also maintains a blog entitled “Funny and Interesting,” which consists primarily of short, true-life stories in which she muses about her various day-to-day encounters (i.e., one of her posts revolved around her encounter with a pair of well-to-do kids running a lemonade stand).
But in the immediate future, Cameron hopes to make the most out of her modeling career. “The salary is what keeps everyone doing it,” she says.
