Bihar Panchayati Raj Minister Bhim Singh is the latest to join a rather long list of ministers who've made silly almost shameful remarks at times. After the recent LoC killings of Indian soldiers in the Poonch district of Kashmir, Bhim Singh said ' Jawans are there to be martyred. Why else do people join Army and police? Those who join the Army are conditioned to believe that they could become martyrs'. He quickly covered up by shooting an apology.

Nanki Ram Kanwar- To bask in the glory of their two minutes of fame, our netas these days utter anything to make news. Another example of the same is Chhatisgarh Home Minister Nanki Ram Kanwar, whose comments on the increasing number of rapes in the country left us open-mouthed! He enlightened everyone by saying, "As the year 2012 was leaving, inauspicious phase emerged owing to the stars that seem to have led to the higher incidences of molestations and rape". In line with Modi's spirituality remarks, Kanwar adds "Our country is land of spiritual belief and philosophy. I also believe that just like the stars are responsible for the outcome of good or bad events, the incidents of rape too are consequences of the bad phase controlled by stars".
